Bermano
Bermano has no art training at all. “I had no interest in art whatsoever but by a miraculous chance of fate, I started painting and have never stopped.”
Bermano made a very long journey from being a Beef Jerky making, boxing promoter in Las Vegas to become a leaf-eating, vegan artist in NYC.
Bermano has painted for Pope Francis, Nelson Mandela and the Royal Family of Monaco and his art adorns the walls of many Fortune 500 companies. His art has raised over $200000 for amazing NGO including Operation Smile and The American Cancer Association (Cattle Barons)
As a young child from the age of seven, Bermano dealt with severe physical OCD, which in later life manifested into OCD of thought. ‘I am an existential thinker and my thoughts kept me in a constant state of anxiety from which developed depression and ultimately bipolar disorder.’
Miraculously one day a feeling of peace came over me it was beyond explanation and the joy that I felt needed to be expressed.
One night I decided I had enough of watching adverts on TV, so I literally got up put some paint from the tube that was left next to the TV (by my friend) on my hand and smeared it all over the screen. This eventually led to me painting everything I owned.
I paint with humongous passion and emotion with explosive vibrant color. I paint like I'm trying to find a color that does not exist in this reality.
The journey continues...
